Sinner Withdraws from Shanghai Masters

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner has confirmed he will not compete in the Shanghai Masters, extending his absence from professional tennis. The Italian, who hasn't played since his Wimbledon victory on July 12, has missed five consecutive tournaments including Montreal, Cincinnati, the US Open, and Beijing.

Despite ongoing treatment and rest, the persistent knee injury has forced Sinner to withdraw from all remaining Asian events this season. Meanwhile, Alexander Zverev's strong performances in Beijing present a significant challenge to Sinner's top ranking position as the season progresses. ipl-today.in
