FIS Allows Five Russian Cross-Country Skiers

The list includes Daria Neprjajeva, Sergej Volkov, Hanna Matsjakhina, Ksenija Sjorokhova, and Nikita Denisov. Neprjajeva and Denisov had previously been approved for neutral status earlier this year, with Denisov having won relay gold for Russia at the junior world championships in February 2022, just before the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

FIS recently updated guidelines for Russian and Belarusian participation for the 2026/27 season, with a total of 30 names on the list of neutral athletes and support personnel, 26 of whom are from Russia. Notable absence is Savelij Korostelev, who was allowed to compete in World Cup events last season and achieved top-five finishes at the Olympics. milkshakeslot.lat
