Astros' Playoff Run Factors in Espada's Future

Crane stated there have been no recent discussions about a new deal for Espada, but "all positives are positives" when considering the decision. The Astros made history as the first MLB team to reach the playoffs with an 81-81 record, securing the AL West title after missing postseason play last year.

The team will host the Chicago White Sox in a best-of-three Wild Card Series beginning Tuesday. This marks Houston's ninth playoff appearance in 10 years, a stretch that includes four World Series titles and seven consecutive ALCS appearances from 2017-23. forestarrow.help
