Aalesund maintained their challenge in the Toppserien title race by defeating Hønefoss 1-0. The decisive goal came from league top scorer Katarina Dybvik Sunde, who capitalized on defensive errors to score her 20th goal of the season in the 66th minute.

The victory sees Aalesund trail league leaders Brann by just four points. Sunde now has twice as many goals as Brann's Brenna Lovera, though she remains well short of Marianne Pettersen's record of 36 goals in a season set in 1998. In Monday's other match, Lyn defeated Røa 3-1. grenadier.co.za
