Former NFL QB Bob Lee dies at 81

Former NFL quarterback Bob Lee died on Aug. 17 in San Francisco at the age of 81, the University of Pacific announced. Lee was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the 1968 draft and played for the Falcons and Rams later in his career. He won an NFL championship as a rookie with the Vikings in 1969. newsindata.org

Primarily a backup, Lee started 30 games and finished with a 19-11 record as a starter. After retiring, he served as director of athletics at Pacific from 1991 to 1996. He is survived by his wife, Janice, and their children.
