They announced that they have placed wide receiver Alex Bullock on the reserve/retired list. The team will retain Bullock's rights, but will be able to sign another player to their offseason roster in the wake of the move.
Bullock signed with the Jags after going undrafted last month. He played at Nebraska for three seasons before transferring to South Dakota State last year. He had 71 catches for 936 yards and five touchdowns in 2025.
Jakobi Meyers, Brian Thomas, Travis Hunter, Parker Washington, Tim Jones, and Austin Trammell are back at receiver for Jacksonville. They also drafted CJ Williams and Josh Cameron in the sixth round this year.
NFL likely to award the 2028 draft to Minnesota this week
The 2028 NFL draft appears to be heading to Minnesota.
League owners are preparing to make it official at this week's league meeting, after talks between league officials, local officials, and the Vikings.
The draft has become the NFL's biggest annual offseason event, attracting hundreds of thousands of fans to the host city. Virtually every NFL city has expressed interest in hosting the draft since the league first moved it out of New York and began traveling the country in 2015.
Minnesota was considered the favorite to host in 2028, but it takes a vote of ownership to make it official. The Minnesota bid was focused on the major event at U.S. Bank Stadium, with other portions of the draft spectacle at the Mall of America and other sites in the Twin Cities.
After leaving New York City, the draft was in Chicago twice, and then in Philadelphia, Dallas, Nashville, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Kansas City, Detroit, Green Bay and Pittsburgh. Next year's draft will be in Washington, D.C.
Owners will get "special briefing" on Bears' two stadium options
The NFL's owners will meet in Orlando on Tuesday. On the agenda is the question of where an inevitable new stadium will be built.
Via Courtney Cronin of ESPN, the membership will receive a "special briefing" on the Bears' stadium situation.
Per Cronin, "Club and league staff will update the 32 clubs on progress on the only two viable stadium solutions at Arlington Heights and Hammond, Indiana."
Those continue to be the only two realistic options. Despite periodic efforts by Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson to keep the Bears in town, it's become (and continues to be) a foregone conclusion that it's Arlington Heights or Indiana.
Indiana is ready to go. Arlington Heights, and Illinois, are still working on it. Bears president and CEO Kevin Warren has said that they expect to know where the stadium will be built by early summer.
It still feels like Indiana is the leverage to get the best deal in Illinois. Still, if Illinois won't do enough, there's an alternative that would make the Bears no different than the Giants and Jets — named for a place in one state, playing in another.
